Applications:
Barium carbonate is widely used in the ceramics industry
as an ingredient in glazes.
In the brick, tile, earthenware and pottery industries
barium carbonate is added to clays to precipitate soluble
salts (calcium and magnesium sulfates) that cause efflorescence.
