Cysteine is one of the 20 amino acids commonly found in animal proteins, only the L-stereoisomer participates in the biosynthesis of mammalian protein. It is particularly abundant in the proteins of hair, hooves, and the keratin of the skin.
L-cysteine hcl monohydrate is used as a common dough conditioner, flavor enhancer in human foods. It is also used as antioxidant in natural fruit juice.
It is used for protecting against radiation harm, treating bronchitis and liquefing sputum.
L-cysteine hcl monohydrate is a precursor to the glutathione (a very powerful antioxidant), which helps to detoxify harmful toxins in liver placed on by drugs, alcohol, pollution, smoke and industrial chemicals.
L-cysteine hcl monohydrate is also used by itself and in combination with other nutrients to support more robust hair growth.
