Olaquindox is a quinoxaline 1,4-dioxide structurally related to carbadox, quindoxin and cyadox. It is an antimicrobial drug with a long history of use as a growth promoter in pigs. It is usually administered in the feed at concentrations of 25-100 mg/kg and may be used in pigs up to four months of age.
